PeTetons are built with a chisel point and piton head to be driven into very hard and compacted ground, where traditional skewer stakes won’t work. They are only .10″(2.5mm) thick for easy driving. They are .20″(3.9mm) wide just below the head. This profile gives them better holding power than a skewer style stake as well as being able to be driven into very hard soils, ice, and rock crevices*
